Welcome to the soothing and revitalizing spring magic of the New Moon in Taurus, exact at 4 pm EDT, on May 16. We are invited to reconnect powerfully with the living Earth, our physical body and all life. It is time to start building a fresh new foundation and bring life to the new potentials of 2026. Taurus reminds us to slow down, consciously breathe, release tension and allow more time to cultivate presence, inner calm and mindfulness. This New Moon reorients our focus towards physical places and actions that strengthen inner harmony, peace and beauty. Our creative instinct is rising now. Allow your inner Artist/Muse/Divine Child to come out, play and enjoy creating from the heart.


Taurus is naturally ruled by Venus, and because Venus itself is flying in Gemini these days, we will experience a boost of Venus energy and Gemini over the next 4 weeks of this lunation cycle. The New Moon is the seed point of this cycle, so take some time over this long weekend to carefully plant new seeds and set new intentions for what you want to cultivate this spring. I enjoyed a lovely hike with a good friend on the day of the New Moon. It was a warm and sunny day, and we sat at the edge of a lush wetland. We could hear and see so many birds flying graciously in the warm breeze like, chickadees, sparrows, hawks and even eagles!  I received the message to sing the songs that live in our heart.


Nature always has a calming, grounding and healing effect, but in Taurus, we feel this energy powerfully through all our physical senses. This important New Moon reminds us to slow down and pay attention to our surroundings using all our senses to properly see, hear, smell, touch and taste the beauty of nature coming alive everywhere.

The month of May is always a deeply transformative time of year because we have the Full Moon in Scorpio either just before or after the New Moon in Taurus. The Taurus-Scorpio axis represents the dual instinct for stability and metamorphosis. The more we can let go of old energies that don’t support us, the more space we create for new growth. Astrologer Pam Gregory recently shared a powerful dream in which she could not find her luggage as she was getting ready to board a plane. What a powerful reminder that we can’t take the old luggage to the new destination. It may be time to release and compost old embodied beliefs that you don't want taking up space in your body or life.


I also love this timely message about feeling more comfortable in the body. “What if we told you your body is your greatest ally? It is always doing the very best it can no matter how much you judge it, mistreat it, or think the meanest things about it. If your body is struggling it deserves even more love and care from you. We urge you to start accepting it as a physical manifestation of the divine that adds to the mosaic of the whole. The Bull’s earthy wisdom reminds us to eat what our body needs and wants that is unique to us. Let’s remember to bless our food and enjoy it with love and gratitude because these frequencies help to optimize nourishment and digestion.

In the last week of April, Uranus ingressed into a new sign for the first time since 2018. This change is one of the most important and powerful astro events of the year because Uranus is the planet of radical and sudden changes, shocks, surprises, revelations, revolutions and powerful awakening. In the words of Lee Harris, “awareness is the precursor to change, and 2026 is a crucible of change and the birth of a new paradigm for Earth and humanity.”


Can you feel the power of Uranus in your life or in the world lately? When any outer planet like Uranus, Neptune or Pluto change signs, it represents a seismic shift in collective consciousness all over the planet. When Uranus is active, it is time to smell the cosmic coffee, and it is often a tumultuous time. The universe always finds ways to get our attention when it is time for change, and sometimes, that happens in intense ways, like accidents or literal earthquakes and lightning storms.


Uranus was in the sign of Taurus the last 7-8 years, sending shock waves in the world of natural resources, currency, finance and economics. These systems are changing and evolving rapidly. Uranus just entered Gemini on April 30, and will stay there until 2033. For the next 7 years, Uranus will energize and revolutionize all aspects of life that connect with Gemini, like communication, education, social and multimedia, commerce and transportation to name but a few. Expect big changes and evolutionary growth in any or all of these areas. Since Gemini is an Air sign, we are seeing many disruptions and revolutionary energy related to all forms of air travel and all movements of information and commerce in a broader sense.


Change is on the horizon in so many ways. As a mutable sign, Gemini the Twins thrive on variety and change. The cosmos asks us to embrace unpredictability and welcome multiple points of views and timelines. Humanity is ready to create new neural networks. Uranus in Gemini can send new electric energy running though our communication circuits and throat chakra. All kinds of new thinking is starting to come online, like accessing next level software codes.


We are remembering that truth evolves, and that it is ok to change our mind and that other people have the potential to change their mind, even rapidly sometimes. Uranus in Gemini can inspire us to share our thoughts and communicate our feelings more freely and openly then before. It is time for the more sensitive souls among us, to finally give voice to what the soul has carried in silence for so long - to let the soul speak in a new way.


This New Moon carries a very powerful healing potential with Mars exactly conjunct Chiron in Aries. Mars, cosmic Warrior, in alignment with Chiron, Wounded Healer archetype, can bring us strength and courage to be vulnerable and express our deep wounds to people we trust. This can trigger a cathartic release, and create space for more acceptance, compassion and healing love in our mind, body, heart and soul.


Uranus is supporting an awakening to new clarity in perceiving the world. “We are here to disrupt the massive programming, breakthrough and move beyond. Sensitivity is returning to humanity. You are blooming in more and more dimensional colour. The sensitives are the gatekeepers to the soul on Earth. You are living in a system that admonished or denied your sensitive selves. It is increasingly necessary to regulate our nervous system every day to adjust and integrate all the changes, disruptions and shocking revelations coming to light in many authority systems, governments and organizations. It is equally important to be more aware of benevolence and honor the light irising n the world.


This influx of Gemini is here to expand our mind and increase our understanding of the multidimensionality of reality. So let’s normalize having conversations with animals, trees, plants and flowers as well as celestial beings. “You are on the planet to experience expansion. That is always what the soul desires. The zeitgeist of 2026 is about learning to befriend the unknown, and grow in our capacity to be comfortable with uncertainty and groundlessness. We are building more resiliency, more ease and trust in a continually changing world, which has always been the case. Fear is normal but we are learning to meet our discomfort wherever it lies in our body, and breathing in tenderness and love.
