Dear star tribe, Bonjour, ☀️
It is warm and beautiful in Northern Ontario and the Spring Equinox is almost here. The festive explosion of green and revelry on St-Patrick’s Day feels connected to the powerful rebirthing energy of spring. I have a spring in my step today and I hope you do too. Thank you for joining me in this reflection on the magic of the Full Moon in Virgo and the astrology of late March 2022.

The Full Moon is exact at 3:18 am (EDT) on Friday the 18th, but we will feel the heightened lunar energy for at least a couple of days before and after the peak time. I have heard many sirens from emergency vehicles lately, like usual on a full moon. There are also large scale wars and international humanitarian crises surging around the world at this time. Our beloved planet needs a mega dose of physical, emotional and spiritual healing, and that is exactly what this Full Moon in Virgo is designed to do. Please join me in a synchronized collective prayer for peace, compassion and comfort for everyone in Ukraine and the millions of refugees fleeing into other countries. It is easy to feel overwhelmed and powerless about these situations, yet by visualizing millions of other sensitive and caring souls praying together, we can exponentially increase the frequency of love on Earth. The Heart Math Institute through their Global Coherence Initiative holds a Synchronized Care Focus every Full Moon.
This Full Moon in Virgo opposite the Sun in Pisces invites us on a healing journey back to wholeness as we realign, energize and weave together all aspects of our being in new ways. Through Virgo we can embody the Healer archetype by living a more conscious lifestyle that values the importance of ongoing healing work as a natural and regular practice. When we accept the invitation to dance with Pisces and Virgo, “we learn to surrender to the grace of the rhythm of the universe, and slip from our physical bodies into the Dreamtime.” (Swan Medicine Card, Jaimie Sams & David Carson)
I invite you to look at the areas of your chart that are stimulated by the late degrees of Virgo and all the mutable signs: Pisces, Gemini and Sagittarius. In my chart, the Full Moon is exactly conjunct Jupiter in the 8th House and I am feeling the Jupiterian blessings of joy, faith, generosity and deep connections.
The Sun jumps into the fire energy of Aries on Sunday, March 20th, which simultaneously ushers in the Spring Equinox and the astrological New Year. On this day we also celebrate International Astrology Day. Cheers! The Spring (and Fall) Equinox is a powerful and pivotal moment in the cosmic rhythm. It is like the universe strikes a gigantic tuning fork that signals a clear end to the energies of winter, and creates an energetic spark that gives life to a whole new cycle of growth. In nature, plants awaken and begin to express their unique life force in a myriad of shapes, colours and sizes. The rush of Aries season is designed to be an exciting time when the fire of life begins to energize and flow though our entire body. The high-spirited power of Aries and the Spring Equinox opens the eye of our inner tiger and triggers the will to survive and thrive. It is time to roar and revel in the revitalizing energy of spring!
While reflecting on the synergy of the Full Moon in Virgo, which is always in opposition with the Sun in Pisces, I often visualize crystals, which are pure, physical manifestations (Virgo) of spiritual frequencies (Pisces). When we embody the pure essence of Virgo, there is often a sincere kindness and authentic humility that shines through us. Here is a quote that connects goodness and embodiment: “If you are always trying to prove your goodness, you are implying that your goodness is in doubt. When you simply lead with your goodness, you demonstrate your acceptance of your inherent goodness, and that is embodiment." ~Archangel Gabriel through Shelley Young (trinityesoterics.com)
‘How can I help?’ In the natural rhythms of life, Virgo connects to harvest season when there is a ton of work to do and we instinctively share the labour and work together to maximize efficiency. Virgo is best expressed when we offer our service in a spirit of dedication, devotion and discipline. Discipline connects to discipleship, and devotion is the spiritual quality of Virgo in relationship to Pisces. I learned recently that spirituality is ‘spirit + ritual’ in action. In the old paradigm, the concept of work and service was rooted in martyrdom, sacrifice and suffering. In the new Earth, we are called to express our highest service with dignity, love and joy in unity consciousness. It is important to be kind and compassionate with ourselves first.
Currently, there are 4 planets in the sign of Pisces: Sun, Jupiter, Neptune and Mercury. The dominant energy lately is very dreamy, sensitive and flowing with fantasy and imagination. One of the core functions of Pisces is to reconnect us with our deepest yearnings, desires and dreams. The Virgo instinct keeps our feet on the ground and inspires us to take practical action toward actualizing those dreams and making them real. “Your life expression wants to unfold in a way that honours you and your soul’s truest desires. That means you must trust that what you yearn for truly exists for you in a version that is perfect for you. Your desires are how your soul beckons you forward towards the discovery of your greatest potentials. Some of you have put your dreams on a shelf, thinking they were frivolous or unattainable, yet they are a big part of you and who you wish to be! Is it time to dust them off and explore where they might take you? Let us reassure you, we give this idea a resounding yes!” ~Archangel Gabriel through Shelley Young.
This Full Moon features a powerful configuration called a Grand Earth Trine: a harmonious geometric connection between the Moon in Virgo, Pluto in Capricorn and the North Node in Taurus. Pluto is activating some intensity around the Full Moon as we feel compelled to align ourselves with our authentic calling and soul purpose. This Grand Trine can inspire us to feel a greater sense of faith and empowerment towards our future. Through heart-felt surrender to our highest service, we can build a more sustainable and more peaceful life for all, without attachment to any specific action. We can begin our day with a prayer such as: “I surrender this day to my highest service with grace, ease and joy.”
As mutable signs, Virgo and Pisces ask us to go with the flow of change and let go of anything that does not serve us. Where in our lives do we need to bend or shape-shift into a more fluid form? This Full Moon in combination with the Spring Equinox can inspire us to cleanse, renew, dream, and contribute meaningfully to our local and global community. In these unprecedented and ever-changing times, may we face the wide spectrum of human experience with as much grace, love, and presence as possible.
