New Moon in Taurus ♉️ Power & Peace

Sending big love to my family, friends, Patrons, FB friends and all of you who regularly read my Star Notes. I am still feeling the warmth and love that I received on my Birthday. Shout-out to all Taureans! This one is for you. I invite you to take a full, deep breath and enjoy this post, which is shorter and more concise to reflect the spirit of practical yet effective simplicity in pure Taurus wisdom. I spent the weekend enjoying the company of my family and didn't have as much time to craft a longer post.

This dynamic and powerful New Moon in Taurus was exact on April 27, at 3:31 pm EDT. At this time of year in the northern hemisphere, nature rebirths with lush plants, exquisite flowers, an explosion of green leaves and an abundance of new life that feels incredibly refreshing and reinvigorating. Taurus reconnects us with our most physical, sensual, creative, productive, and constructive impulses. Taurus is ruled by Venus, cosmic teacher of peace, love, beauty and harmony. The pleasantly warm and sunny weather in Taurus season calls us to spend more time outside and feel nourished and replenished by the warm spring sunshine, fresh air, bird song and all the elemental magic of nature.

We want to feel stronger, happier, more embodied, and more in rhythmic harmony with nature and our sacred planet Earth. This is a perfect time to renew or refresh our embodiment practices. I have been guided to explore Somatic Experiencing and Qigong this year. What is your physical body communicating to you through various sensations? What does your body need to feel comfortable and strong? In its highest vibrations, the cosmic Bull stimulates a very powerful force that is also grounded, calm, and radiates a feeling of comfort, ease, and quiet assurance.

After the rush of primal life force energy expressed through Aries since the spring equinox, it is now time to flow with life in calmer, simpler and slower ways. Taurus is about simply being present - aware, mindful and fully receptive but also grounded, centered, peaceful and calm. Taurus reminds us to reconnect with the spiritual gifts and soul healing magic of our inner Buddha nature.

This New Moon forms a powerful T-square aspect with Mars in Leo on one side, and with Pluto in Aquarius on the other. Mars has been in opposition with Pluto 3 times in the last 6 months: the first time in early November, which coincided with the US election, then in early January, and finally just before this New Moon, which coincides with the Canadian federal election. Mars in tense connection with Pluto often correlates with a variety of intense, combustive, transformational events and experiences; however, there are also opportunities for powerful creative expression, manifestation and regeneration, when we channel the energy consciously and mindfully.

May this New Moon inspire you to plant strong seeds of intention that clearly reflect what you desire to create and manifest over the the entire 4-week lunar cycle.

For many weeks this spring, there is a close alignment or conjunction between Neptune, Venus, Saturn and the Lunar North Node, signalling a new sense of spiritual maturity and responsibility. Our evolutionary path forward this year involves anchoring more love, integrity, compassion, imagination and intuition to support the natural unfoldment of our personal and collective life mission.
