Full SuperMoon in Sagittarius: Exploring the Joy of Growth

Star Notes - June 14, 2022

Dear star friends, Bonjour, Namasté. 🕉

Welcome to the warm and expansive energies of this Full SuperMoon in Sagittarius, which peaked at 7:52 am on June 14th. Thank you for joining me in this continuing exploration of higher consciousness through the stars. May this Full Moon inspire us to feel the freedom to communicate the highest wisdom and deepest truth that we have been reflecting on since the New Moon in Gemini in late May.

It takes a lot of courage and vulnerability to express one’s most personal sense of truth. Thanks to a brave friend of mine, I mustered the courage to cancel a class that I was scheduled to teach this evening. Even though I am passionate about teaching, the truth for me lately, is that I am feeling exhausted from an intensive teaching cycle that ends this week, in synchronous connection with the Full Moon. Since Sagittarius is ruled by the planet Jupiter, the largest of all planets, the peak energetic wave in this lunation can feel a little overwhelming. As we release our burdens into the sacred fire, we can take some very deep breaths, lighten our load and focus on self-care.

The Sun in Gemini and the SuperMoon in Sagittarius will both form a square aspect with Neptune, god of the seas of consciousness. The invitation is to align our throat chakra with our crown chakra and communicate with as much heart, compassion and inspiration as possible. The high road of Neptune always brings us to the divine combination formula as taught by my friend Shelley Young: surrender, faith, trust and flow, which work best with gratitude and acceptance. We cannot control the external reality, but we can control how we navigate our inner journey. As the last official planet in our solar system, Neptune represents the doorway to the galactic and higher dimensional realms. I just came back from a short walk in my neighbourhood and I saw a sign on someone’s lawn that succinctly encapsulates the wisdom of Neptune at this time. It said: “Let your cares drift away.” Perfect!

Sometimes, the seas of life that Neptune symbolise can feel very disorienting and confusing. We can easily feel overwhelmed by doubt, fear or anxiety and seek to escape the discomfort of life in multiple ways. “One of the dimensions Neptune invites us to grow into is a greater sense of trust and faith in the eternal divine presence or higher power. We are also in the timing of this Full Moon being made aware of how that divine essence lives within and is channeled through each of us individually.” (Leslie Benson, astrograph.com)

The Full Moon in Sagittarius reminds us that human life is a wild adventure! In this journey, individually and collectively, we are also exploring new frontiers in consciousness. “The realm of potentiality is the energetic space just beyond what you can see that holds the solutions and matches you’ve been seeking. So how do you get there? Surrender. Flow. Ask your guides to lead you. Get curious. Be willing to explore and discover beyond the edges of what is known to you. Your dreams are trying to beckon you forward. Understand the meeting point will be somewhere between where you are and where they are because your surrendered movement activates a divine intersection. You move beyond the ideas of good or bad, right or wrong, success or failure, into the acceptance that all your experiences have value. Do you know what happens when people become too exhausted to continue separation? Love happens. Love will rise to the surface, when given even the smallest opening, because it is your true state of being and an inexhaustible resource. Love will always find a way.” ~Archangel Gabriel through Shelley Young

Saturn, cosmic teacher of structure and responsibility, is forming easy flowing aspects to the Sun and to the Moon. Saturn in Aquarius is helping us to express our truth with a mature and responsible focus, using the healing tools and spiritual practices that we have developed over the years. In this Full Moon sky, we also see Mars in conjunction with Chiron in Aries. This alignment reflects the need to heal the wounded Warrior within all of us. Masses of people are simply exhausted from the intensity of the last couple of years. Chiron, the archetypal wise teacher and healer is asking us to feel compassion for our inner Warrior/Leader, and ask that part of us what it needs to feel strong again. It may be necessary to ask ourselves if we are putting our attention and energy on the goals that match our soul’s true desires.

Soon after the Full Moon, Venus will exactly conjunct the North Node of the Moon, symbol of our evolutionary growth. We are called to embody more peace in our own energy field, which can then ripple out and energize more peace within the collective psyche. May Venus help us to see, appreciate and anchor more peace, more love, more connection and more beauty within ourselves and this glorious planet.

In the final analysis, this Full Moon in Sagittarius is in invitation to gracefully surrender to a new phase in our evolutionary growth. In the old paradigm, we learned that any kind of growth had to be challenging or painful: no pain, no gain.“ In awakening consciousness, growth and enjoyment unite. Conscious beings develop a superpower: the ability to enjoy your journey of growth. Of course, growth doesn’t have to be enjoyable, but with an open mind, a surrendered heart, an accepting spirit and a flexible mindset, you don’t have to enjoy how you feel to enjoy the growth underway.” (Matt Kahn, Why things happen they way they do.)

Voilà! I hope you enjoyed this Full Moon reflection. May you all flow with your highest wisdom and most authentic soul joy. Thank you for the honor of journeying with you. I invite you to follow me on Facebook or support my service on Patreon to receive these Star Notes as podcasts and exclusive Cosmic Currents every week.

With joy and gratitude,

Richard 🌟
