New Moon in Gemini * Brave New Flow

Dear star tribe, Bonjour!

Welcome to the invigorating cosmic currents flowing in late May and in this New Moon in Gemini that is exact on May 26, at 11 pm EDT or early on May 27, depending on your time zone. Thank you for tuning in! I enjoyed a delightful walk in my neighbourhood the other day, which led me to explore some new streets and discover some really cool and magical things that, amazingly, I had not seen before. Gemini season beckons us to seek out new experiences that seed new perspectives and points of view, just like a fresh spring breeze carries new seeds and pollen everywhere.

Gemini feels like a breath of fresh air because it is the first Air sign in the sequence of the Zodiac. Fundamentally, the cosmic Twins stimulate our mental and intellectual faculties to foster better, clearer and faster communication of information and messages through a variety of channels. As the communication specialist of the Zodiac, Gemini imbues our social personality with friendly charm, wit, humour, civility and courtesy.  It invites us to reconnect with the people in our communities and neighbourhoods to share and exchange information, goods and services like a wonderful market place, buzzing with energy.

Here in the northern hemisphere, Gemini Season, from May 20 to the Summer Solstice, is a very pleasant time of year when the average temperature is warm and the days are long and bright. I love this time of year! As the social butterfly of the zodiac, powered by a powerful sense of curiosity, wonderment and fascination, our inner Gemini flutters around quickly to explore and savour the amazing abundance and variety of new life, colours, scents, and textures that blossom everywhere. Gemini connects to multiplicity, multidimensionality and serendipitous signs and synchronicities that come onto our path.  Read that sentence again to feel the magic of Gemini that also loves words and the creative aspect of language in all its forms.

Gemini has the capacity to process information at light speed just like Mercury, its planetary ruler, zooms around the Sun incredibly fast, making one full orbit in just 88 days, much faster than any planet. Gemini is also the first mutable sign of the zodiac. All the mutable signs: Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius and Pisces, have a fantastic power to flow, bend, adapt and be flexible and nimble. This capacity to surrender and go with the flow of change supports us to move in new and  different directions which opens new choices, options and possibilities in the outer world but also within our own body’s energy flow and the flow of communication between our mind, body, soul and spirit. Gemini season is a great time to start or try out a new workout, yoga, Qigong, breath work or any energy flow practice.

This Gemini New Moon is an important signal to remember how much freedom we have in every moment every day to choose what to think, say, believe, affirm and reinforce in our mind. This can inspire us to cultivate a new positive and empowering mindset that feels good and expansive in our body and in our heart.

Gemini is divinely designed to be a fun, stimulating and exciting vibration that can facilitate new intellectual downloads and brighter clarity to understand the gist of any situation. Since this New Moon is in a smooth flowing conversation (trine aspect) with Pluto in Aquarius, it also brings in a  new understanding and expression of personal truth and authenticity. Pluto’s depth of insight will help us to more deeply understand any ingrained or unconscious thinking patterns. This Gemini New Moon can inspire us to hardwire some new healthy, useful and empowering communication so that we can speak with ourselves and others with more coherence, love and compassion.

There is a significant planetary shift that happens just a day before this New Moon, and it involves Saturn which spends approximately 2.5 years in a sign and represents important life lessons that require an increase in focus, attention and maturity. Saturn enters Aries the Ram on May 25, and now is closely aligned with Neptune, which also shifted into Aries earlier this spring. Saturn asks us to embody our inner Leader, Pioneer and Warrior to feel and more boldly express the fire sparks of our soul passions and desires.

Saturn joining Neptune in Aries is anchoring the synergy between these 2 planets at a deep level. This alignment can mean a great many things; here are a few core messages. First, it’s about building a stronger spiritual foundation on which we can build a better connection to universal intelligence and spiritual integrity, love and wisdom. It’s also about honouring boundaries to create a greater sense of sacred space within our energy field. Since Aries represents courage, this alignment asks us to bravely anchor a higher spiritual vision for the world and for ourselves, first and foremost.

This activation of Aries means connecting with our personal power and sovereignty, and expressing ourselves more courageously, and then allowing this bold fire energy to ripple out into the world, which will create changes organically, as more and more people contribute to this brave new flow of spiritual fire to uplift the collective vibe and consciousness on our planet. I am excited by these energetic changes. The years 2020 to 2032 are widely heralded by many seers and intuitives to be the transitions years into a new age. Isn’t it time that we embody the changes that we want to see in the world?

Saturn and Neptune can forge a new fire of spiritual discipline and maturity within our consciousness to help us meditate more regularly or enhance any spiritual rituals that helps us develop a calmer, more peaceful and resilient inner state of being. The more we do this inner work, the more it helps us navigate the outer world with more grace, ease, joy, love and flow, no matter what is going on. Evolutionary growth and deep healing happen when we remember the majestic divinity of our true identity and open to receive support from trusted friends, mentors and cherished spirit guides.

These New Moon skies remind us of the power of dreams and to pay attention to our dreams by maintaining a dream journal with dates and recognizing the signs and synchronicities that play out in the 3D world which reflect the visions and messages that our soul and higher self communicate to us through our dreams. Saturn in alignment with Neptune is bridging the gap between science and spirituality more harmoniously.

A meaningful, purposeful life is full of unexpected twists and turns, like a river. Sometimes the flow is slow and barely moving and sometimes it is fast and furious. We are now entering a flow in our collective journey that is getting faster and more dynamic with many important planets shifting from earth and water (yin) to fire and air (yang).
